Costa Rica: Telefónica with the Best Financial Offer

The Spanish company, with a $ 95 million offer, was the highest bidder entering the Costa Rican market.
With a $ 70 million minimum base for each band, Telefónica took the rights to the third block of frequencies, which are more attractive because they require less infrastructure investment.
Mexican company, América Móvil (Claro), was awarded concession number two. "
The Superintendence will now issue a report recommending to the Executive Branch to award or not the two bands, but it is expected for the recommendation to be positive," states the article in Informador.com.mx.
If the process proceeds as planned, both companies said they would be operational before the end of this year.
